Technical analysis

Following its drop to a three-month low 76.02, pair USD/JPY managed to recover and breach 77.00. The nearest resistance however may come at 77.35, close to the current values of 55, 89 and 144-day moving average curves. Daily close above 77.35 could open way toward resistance level 78.30. The nearest support levels on the other hand can be settled at 76.57 and 76.00. Nevertheless the yen is gradually loosing its growth potential amid worsening Japan’s fundamentals. This is why at the moment declines may open up new opportunities to go long.
