The greenback against the Japanese Yen on the daily chart is in a downtrend for the last two months as lower lows are prevailing. However the Japanese foreign currency rating was downgraded yesterday by Fitch to A+ from AA and the Yen lost ground extensively against the US dollar in the intraday trading. The US dollar found resistance at the 78.99 Yen and bounced up to the 80.13 which is the 23.60% retracement of the downward movement from 84.15 to the 78.99, additionally the Forex pair reached the downtrend line without violating it. The oscillators have no clear indications about the trading direction that will follow, MACD is below zero but above its signal line and Momentum (7) is neutral without any contrarian signal.
