The technical analysis of the AMD stock price chart on daily timeframe shows #S-AMD, Daily breached above the 200-period moving average MA(200) which is leveling off. RSI has entered the overbought zone. We believe the bullish momentum will continue after the price breaches above the upper boundary of Donchian channel at 85.28. This level can be used as an entry point for placing a pending order to buy. The stop loss can be placed below the lower boundary of Donchian channel at 71.24. After placing the order, the stop loss is to be moved every day to the next fractal low, following Parabolic indicator signals. Thus, we are changing the expected profit/loss ratio to the breakeven point. If the price meets the stop loss level (71.24) without reaching the order (85.28), we recommend cancelling the order: the market has undergone internal changes which were not taken into account.

On Tuesday Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) reported fourth quarter results, posting 16% rise in adjusted revenue to $5.6 billion while the average expected revenue forecasted by analysts was $5.50 billion. AMD's Data Center segment revenue grew 42% to $1.7 billion during the fourth quarter, while revenue of the client segment that includes PCs dropped 51% in at $903 million. The company forecast Q1 2023 revenue of $5.3 billion - in line with Wall Street forecast – the average expected revenue at $5.48 billion plus or minus $300 million. Shares of the company jumped on Wednesday 12.63%.
