Global stocks are pointing in different directions currently ahead of Nonfarm Payrolls report due at 14:30 CET. US stocks closed lower on Thursday. Tesla shares sank 14.26% underperforming market after president Trump said on his Truth Social platform that the "easiest way to save money in our Budget, billions and billions of dollars, is to terminate Elon’s governmental subsidies and contracts" following Musk’s public harsh criticism of a major tax cut and spending bill backed by Trump, Apple shares slid 1.08% on Thursday after Needham lowered its rating on Apple the previous day to “Hold” from “Buy” and removed the stock price target citing slowing growth, AI challenges.

The Dollar strengthening has halted currently. The live dollar index data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, slipped 0.15% on Thursday.

Both EUR/USD and GBP/USD continued their climbing yesterday after the European Central Bank announced a 25 basis point interest rate cut and lowered its inflation expectations. Both euro and Pound are lower against the dollar currently. USD/JPY reversed its retreating while AUD/USD slowed its advancing on Thursday with both the yen and Australian dollar lower against the Greenback currently .

US stock market futures are up currently with the yield on benchmark 10-year Treasury notes steady at 4.391%. The three main stock benchmarks ended lower on Thursday recording daily losses in the range from -0.8% to -0.25% weighed by over 14% plunge in Tesla costing over $150 billion in market capitalization after president Trump said he had asked “crazy” Mr Musk to leave his administration following harsh criticism of Trump’s proposed massive spending Bill. There were reports Trump aides have scheduled Friday call with Musk.

European stock markets futures are mixed currently after closing mixed on Thursday while the Office for National Statistics said UK April inflation was overstated because of car tax error. Asian stock indexes futures are mixed with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng leading losses while president Trump said Thursday that his first call with Chinese leader Xi Jinping since returning to office was “very positive,” announcing that the two countries will hold trade talks.

Brent is edging down presently. Prices rose on Thursday despite Saudi Arabia, the world’s biggest oil exporter, cutting its July prices for Asian crude buyers to nearly the lowest level in two months. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures rose 0.8% but are lower currently. Brent futures added 0.7% to $65.34 a barrel on Thursday.
