Global equity indexes are trading in different directions currently after US stocks rebounded on Friday as Dow and SP 500 closed at fresh records. Apple slid 0.65% underperforming market while Evercore ISI maintained a positive outlook on Apple stock with an Outperform rating and a steady price target of $250.00 citing stable iPhone Pro demand, Tesla stock slumped 8.8% on Friday after the EV maker unveiled its long awaited robotaxi, but did not provide details on how fast it could ramp up production or deal with potential regulatory hurdles.

Forex news

The Dollar strengthening is intact currently. The live dollar index data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, ended 0.1% higher on Friday.

EUR/USD continued its sliding while GBP/USD reversed its retreating on Friday as the Office for National Statistics reported UK’s gross domestic product (GDP) returned to growth in August. Both Pound and euro are little changed against the Dollar currently. USD/JPY reversed its sliding on Friday while AUD/USD slowed its climbing with both the yen and Australian dollar lower against the Greenback currently.

Stock Market news

US stock indexes futures are mixed currently after ending up on Friday. The three main US stock benchmarks recorded daily gains in the range from 0.3% to 0.97% led by bank shares on the back of strong quarterly results as Producer Price Index (PPI) data showed PPI was unchanged on a monthly basis in September when analysts expected an 0.1% rise.

European stock futures are mixed after closing higher on Friday led by financial services shares. Asian stock indexes futures are mixed today with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index leading losses while China’s Minister of Finance Lan Foan on Saturday pledged to "significantly increase" debt, but gave no hint on the overall size of the stimulus.

Commodity Market news

Brent is retreating currently. Prices ended lower on Friday amid concerns about Hurricane Milton's impact on fuel demand in Florida while Libya's national oil corporation said it had restored oil production to 1.25 million barrels – the level before the country's central bank crisis. US West Texas Intermediate WTI slid 0.38% and is lower currently. Brent lost 0.45% to $79.04 a barrel on Friday. For the week however, both benchmarks rose by more than 1%.

Gold Market News

Gold prices are steady currently . Prices extended gains on Friday: spot gold rose 1.04% to $2629.92 an ounce.
