The personal composite instrument &WHEAT/RUB reflects the price dynamics of Wheat against the Russian ruble. The base part of this instrument is composed of 100 bushels of Wheat, and the quoted part - 1 Russian ruble. Wheat is represented by the #C-WHEAT instrument – the continuous CFD on wheat futures. The asset percentage content of the instrument is estimated on the basis of asset prices on the PCI creation date.
The personal composite instrument &WHEAT/RUB is used for the analysis and trade of wheat in Russian rubles. The dynamics of this instrument is an important indicator for Russia’s wheat trade in internal markets and agricultural exports.

Application field
The personal trading instrument &WHEAT/RUB is used for trade and dynamics analysis of wheat vs the Russian ruble, as well as multi-year comparative analysis of the dynamics of popular energy investment assets quoted in Russian rubles. For example, by building a percentage chart in the NetTradeX terminal for three instruments &WHEAT/RUB, &BRENT/RUB and &GAS/RUB, (Fig. 1), it is evident that in the five year period from March 2011 to March 2015 investments in wheat yielded substantially higher returns (+50%) than investments in Brent crude oil (0%) and natural gas (just +32%). Whereas at the beginning of 2014 investments in wheat traded in negative territory (-10%) energy investments yielded positive returns.
