DASH (DSH) is a popular cryptocurrency and BlockChain network, launched in 2014 as an alternative to Bitcoin, but completely anonymous and very well protected from hacking (first released under the name Xcoin, then Darkcoin and since 2015 DASH). The DASH network uses not one, but a combination of 11 cryptographic algorithms. The main features of the DASH network and coin are as follows:
- The Darksend engine is responsible for network security, allowing you to maintain complete confidentiality without involving secondary resources and with minimal human participation in the payment process. DarkSend operates in two modes: 1. PrivateSend - mixing service; 2.InstantSend - provides instant transactions.
- Anonymity provides a mixing service in which the money being sent is mixed with the assets of other transactions (the process can be repeated up to 8 times), but the coins are always directed from the sender to the recipient and their theft by a third party is almost impossible. The mixing process is handled by masternodes, which do not have a single authority, and several masternodes participate in each round of mixing funds.
- High transaction speed, up to 150 seconds in normal mode, and up to several seconds in InstantSend mode.
- The transaction is usually confirmed within a few seconds. If the transaction is not confirmed within an hour, it becomes invalid and the funds are returned to the sender.
- Mining DASH is much less energy-consuming than Bitcoin.
- Very low transaction fees.
