Equity indexes are trading in different directions currently after Wall Street finished higher on Friday. Apple shares rallied 4.2% outperforming market as the iPhone maker pledged to make $100 billion investment in US, Nvidia shares rose 1.1% on Friday.

Forex news

The Dollar strengthening has halted presently. The live dollar index data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, rose 0.17% on Friday.

GBP/USD slowed its climbing while EUR/USD reversed its advancing on Friday. Euro is higher against the dollar currently while Pound is little changed. AUD/USD slowed its climbing while USD/JPY reversed its sliding on Friday with the Australian dollar lower against the Greenback currently and the yen higher.

Stock Market news

US stock indexes futures are mixed currently after Wall Street  closed up on Friday. The three main stock benchmarks recorded daily gains in a range from 0.5% to 1.0% led by tech shares as Nasdaq posted a second straight all-time high.

European stock index futures are mixed today after closing marginally higher on Friday while defense shares declined amid reports US-Russia plan to stop Ukraine war with a potential agreement that would allow Russia to occupy the territory it took during its invasion of Ukraine. Asian stock indexes futures are mixed currently with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index leading losses ahead of end to US-China tariff truce due to expire tomorrow.

Commodity Market news

Brent is extending losses currently. Prices ended marginally lower on Friday amid reports presidents Trump and Putin were aiming to reach a deal to halt the war in Ukraine that would lock in Russia’s occupation of territory seized during its military invasion. US West Texas Intermediate WTI futures ended little changed and are lower currently. Brent lost 0.2% to $66.59 a barrel on Friday.

Gold Market News

Gold prices are retreating currently . Prices ended little changed on Friday after the White House denied reports that the United States has imposed import tariffs on gold bars from Switzerland: spot gold slipped 0.04% to $3397.75 an ounce.
